College Recruits
Overview
Insero helps you design your own accounting career path and gives you the training, guidance, and technology you need to move ahead. You will also become part of a team that enjoys working together, playing together, and succeeding together – and giving back to our communities too!
Why Choose Insero?
Even prior to their first day on the job, new hires are assigned a mentor who will meet and check in with them periodically. We want to help as much as we can with the new hire onboarding process and transition from college to career. From day one, everyone is a team member who collaborates on a variety of stimulating projects. We maintain a casual and open environment, where partners are always accessible and open doors are the rule. Enjoy an environment of mutual respect and support; a positive atmosphere where everyone has a chance to do high-quality work and grow in the process. You will not only achieve a healthy work/life balance, but also reap the benefits of reward and recognition for strong performance.
As a result, and based on your career aspirations, you can be exposed to many types of accounting-related work such as audit, tax, outsourced accounting, and enterprise risk management, to name a few. That way you can see which are most appealing to you. Plus, you’ll constantly build your skills and knowledge by working with more experienced team members. Before long, you’ll be the one sharing what you’ve learned with next year’s newest team members, so you can take on new challenges.
There is a difference among accounting firms. We invite you to experience it firsthand!

Mentor Program
The New Recruit Mentor Program is designed to help the new hire become assimilated in our culture. An Insero employee will reach out and meet with the new hire prior to their start date. The Mentor is there to lay out what their first day, week and year will look like as well as answer any questions the new hire may have! We want to help as much as we can to make the transition from college to career as smooth as possible. Once the new hire starts, they will later be assigned an Advisor.
Advisor Program
The Advisor is vital to the personal and professional growth of the Advisee. An Advisor serves as a coach to the Advisee and assists with their development here at Insero. The Advisor solicits and provides feedback and tips on an ongoing basis. Short term goals and a formal individual development plan are created by the Advisee with the help of their Advisor. The Advisor acts as a role model and trusted coach for the Advisee to look up to.
Future Accountants Leadership Summit
Each year, Insero along with participating Upstate New York RSM US Alliance member firms hold the Future Accountants Leadership Summit in Syracuse, NY. This full-day event is a valuable opportunity for college new hires to learn how to gain a competitive advantage entering today’s job market. Learn about college to career transition, what makes a successful accountant, business etiquette, team building, networking skills, and more about the RSM US Alliance and the participating firms all while networking with peers and firm representatives.
What Our Employees Have to Say
“It is important to select a firm where you feel comfortable. Being able to ask questions and ask for help is key to advancement and Insero promotes learning at all stages of your career. My communication skills have improved greatly since I started working at Insero. Being able to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients is a soft skill I will carry with me for the rest of my career.
I also like the fact that Insero sponsors many fun activities, including sports leagues and volunteer opportunities. I participated this past year in building a house for a day for Habitat for Humanity, which was very rewarding. In addition, department outings and firm-wide events are always enjoyable and promote conversation in a less-formal setting.”
