CPA, Senior Accountant, Audit Department
The State University of New York College at Geneseo
Alexis started as an Intern in 2014 and was hired full time after graduation in 2015.
“During my undergrad years, I completed internships at firms with various goals, industries, and cultures; Insero & Co. took the cake. While interning at Insero, I was welcomed by both the Founder (Frank Insero) and Managing Partner (Nancy Catarisano) during my first week in the office. This opened my eyes to the priorities of the firm, their people. This is why I chose to work with Insero, they are invested in their employees and provide everyone with the resources to help not only the firm achieve success but also for each individual to reach their highest potential.
The people at this firm are truly what sets Insero apart. As I begin my early career in Public Accounting, I am grateful to be surrounded by co-workers of all levels that I consider friends and mentors.
At Insero, I have learned communication is a driving skill behind client satisfaction and I have been able to improve on this over the years. Feeling confident in communicating to all of the individuals I work with has created strong relationships between Insero and our clients.
I find that Insero is the best place to work for a number of reasons. From the beginning I have been challenged and continue to receive increased responsibility as I grow in the Audit Department. That is what makes me come to work every day; job satisfaction. This, combined with the travel I experience working on various clients throughout the year keeps my day to day exciting, not something every accountant can identify with. Another reason Insero is the best place to work, is the company realizes the need for happy hours, team building activities, and openness to employees volunteering for organizations they are a part of. I am grateful for these instances where everyone puts down their pen and gets to know one another outside of the accounting profession.
I am very excited to be a part of Insero and look forward to my future here.”
